Helping Hand II Rising Stars
|
The Helping Hand II Social Club is proud to announce that one of our young men from the CIS Group Home has aged out. The Helping Hand II Social Club gave a monetary gift to help him get started on his new walk in life of becoming an independant and productive adult. With the help of one of our associates, who is providing him with guidance, he has obtained a job, his GED and a place to live. The Helping Hand II Social Club will continue to give him encouragement and a helping hand whenever possible. You go Mike, we are so very proud of you!!!

The Helping Hand II Social Club exceeded their goal this year. One Hundred and seven (107) families received turkeys for Thanksgiving. The Volunteers of America Eastern Avenue Program received 90 turkeys, John Carroll Elementary School received 6 turkeys, Lewisdale Elementary School received 6 turkeys and 5 turkeys went to some very deserving Senior Citizens. We could not have made this possible without our loyal supporters of Cafe' Roma and Prince George's County Human Relations Commission. THANK YOU!!! Special thanks goes out to Jeff, the Meat Manager @ Giant and Jackie @ Giant Customer Service and other supporters. As we venture into more projects, we find that there are people out there who care, all you have to do is ask. The Helping Hand II Social Club expresses heart felt gratitude and appreciation to all. Thank you thank you thank you!!!!
